2007 Hardknock FAQ's
Is the Hardknock street legal?
We do not make the Hardknock to be street legal specifically, nor do we make any claims that it is. It is sold as a work of art, a homebuilders kit. This being said, many of our customers have been able to register their bikes for the street in numerous states as a homebuilt or special construction motorcycle or even as a moped. It does not have a title or VIN number, however the engine and frame have unique serial numbers and we can issue a Manufacturers Statement of Origin upon request. You should recieve a warranty card in your frame and motor box. If you do not recieve warranty please email us at info@oldschoolhardknock.com, That way we can email it to you. You will need to print it, and fill it out. Then mail it to the address provided on the warranty card. Then we will send you a MSO. MSO's can take up to 30 days to recieve. The faster you turn in your warranty card, the faster you can get a MSO. Thanks
What does the warranty cover?
The warranty is a parts only warranty. It covers all parts against defects for a time of one year after initial retail purchase. Wear items such as brake/clutch pads, chains and light bulbs are excluded. Labor or return shipping cost are not included. For details see the warranty card posted on the Hardknock webpage.
How long does it take to receive my bike once I place an order?
We build each bike to order. Depending on the bike configuration, our backlog of orders, and our supply situation, it can take from less than 24 hours to more than 24 days to prepare and ship a bike. Delivery is from 1 to 7 days after that depending on your distance from our facility. Although we can give
you our best estimate of a shipping date at the time you place the order, We are still a small custom shop whose production can be significantly affected by variations of incomming orders. If you decide to place an order for one of our bikes be prepared to be patient and work on our schedule.
If there are upgraded parts available in the future will they fit on my bike?
We make each new part, option and upgrade such that it will retrofit all existing designs.
Is The Hardknock American made?
Our Bikes are as American as Chevrolet, Ford and Harley Davidson. Like these other companies we operate in a global economy and utilize multi-national suppliers for our components. However, the entire design and development of our creations, as well as final assembly is done in our facility.
